Hello Pilots:
Corvus Airlines out of Anchorage Alaska is looking for pilots with ATP, R-ATP, or COMM with ATP mins to fill slots in our Dash 8. We are bringing two more Dash 8's on the certificate by the end of the year, and I want you to fly them.
We are looking to fill a June 16th class.
Please check us out at Ravncrews.com/hiring for our most up to date information on incentives as well as our portal for applying and getting in touch with our Pilot Recruitment Team.
I think you will find our pay rates attractive, our flying exciting, and opportunities both within and after your career at our airline.
I know Alaska might be a jump for you so let's talk about ways to get you up here and get settled in.
I think you'll find the work challenging, but your involvement in being part of our elite team rewarding.
We look forward in hearing from you.
Fly, Safe.
Corvus Chief.

Anyone have any idea if this is a 15/15 sched? I might be interested in a commutable spot to put my -8 type back to work. Kinda miss the arctic. How is the jumpseating from Outside, anymore? It was pretty tough a few years back. I remember having to put quite a few trips on the CC back to Kotz from the lower states.
Thanks,
Frozen Ronin

- Upgrades are 5-6 years right now. Maybe longer, maybe shorter. We have a joint seniority list with Hageland on our 135 side and those pilots have flow through rights over new hires, so its really hard to guess.
- No reserve lines per se, you’ll fly right away.
- No preferential hiring with AkAir, though that’s where a fair number of folks end up going after 6-7 years.
- We "sort of" have cancellation pay. It exists in writing, but with many well used caveats.
- No 15/15 schedule. Monthly preferential bids; I average 11 days off a month, usually 5/2.
- Haven't seen anyone commuting. The schedule changes multiple times daily, so you'd need to be in Anc in order to react.
Hope that answers the questions you guys have.

What about commuting from the peninsula and jumping on company flights out of ENA up to ANC?

They'd probably let you try it, hungry for pilots at the moment.
That being said, it's been tried before. Realistically, at the bottom of the seniority list you'd be getting the first or last ena flight of the day which kinda makes it tough.
Last person who commuted from ena made it 2 and a half months before finding an apt in anc.

Copy all, thanks for the insight. Used to be a guy could jumpseat at will, and with a 20/10 or a 15/15 sched, there were plenty of options for having a life. Even if you were racked in Emo, or someplace really out there.
