Did you not see this whole blowup? Taking pics with a cellphone, even in airplane mode, technically violates CFRs and I think all airlines opspecs. If you are comfortable doing such, please do it next time a fed is in your jumpseat and let me know how that works out for you. I'm not saying I agree with it and I'm not saying I've never taken pictures in the cockpit. But I certainly wouldn't incriminate myself, especially not as an airline, on the company website.

The pilots of Instagram: beautiful views from the cockpit, violating rules of the air ? Quartz

Exactly which FAR is violated, FaceBiten?. Might be true of OpsSpecs, as it is true of USAF regs which are quite clear on no cameras. That reg came out of a rejoin filmed, guy thought lead was a lot further away, in the viewfinder, than it really was.

The Quartz link cited above is inaccurate on multiple levels, contains considerable inaccurate information, and appears written not by aviators, but reporters who don't understand what's reported. Further, information is cited to appear official when it's opinion or company policy. Nowhere did the article cite regulation that's actually violated by taking a picture in flight. Why? Because it's not illegal to take a picture in flight.
Seriously, kids. The original poster is advertising job vacancies at an airline, and the best you can come up with is to snipe at the company's web site pictures?
