Default NGPA Expo on Jan 24

Just curious if anyone has a ticket to the career expo on the 24th and is no longer able to attend. I signed up for the NGPA months ago but didn't realize I had to register for the career expo as well.

For what it's worth, the website says that transfers of registrations to others is not available. Not sure of the work around, or what would actually happen to someone showing up for someone else.

Considering the major storm in the east coast I have a feeling there are going to be A LOT of no shows and that this policy is ridiculous and will hurt them.

I don't get this idea of only selling 400 tickets for the expo. It is not like there is any seating, just a bunch of AWGs walking around passing out resumes. It is a joke that they say they have "reached capacity of the facility". The hotel's website says the conference rooms can hold 1200 people. and most people will not stay the whole 9 hours.
At OBAP after lunch half the booths had only 1 or 2 pilots standing there.

I believe you have misread something somewhere. There are, in fact, something like 1050 attendees per an email from NGPA. I believe the 400 tickets were for non-members. The other 850 are members who signed up. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that's where the 1200 capacity becomes a factor. 1050 attendees plus exhibitors would be 1200. Though it's unlikely everyone will be there at once, the hotel is just going by the fire code and the NGPA is going by the hotel.

Ya I read the 400 in another post.
But they only have like 1600 members, are half of them really looking for a job?

I have no problem believing that. How many regional pilots are there? 10,000? Plus lots of JB, Spirit, VX, fractional folk etc etc. You know as well as I do that the only reason half the people are members is FOR the job fair!! Haha.
