Ford F150......Dude, don't believe what you read. Airline pilots today are paid less than realtors and insurance agents. You should be asking what realtors drive.

Besides, my fabulous Yugo, I also have a 99 Ranger with 75000 miles, a dented fender and cracked windshield for me... I'm all about utility- if it cant tow a trailer or haul a load of lumber, I don't want it.

My wife drives an 01 Saturn coupe.

Good pilots take the job because they love flying. That's the only reason. I know some guys that would do it for free. I have one friend who flew F-16's and when he retired from the USAF was offered big bucks to work for a major aircraft manufacturer. He didn't want to fly a desk, so he turned it down to start at 33K/yr flying for a major airline. Now that's a man who was born to be a pilot!

the airporter is a 99 red chevy cavalier with 110k, bought it in 2000 as a lease return, runs like a dream...

the family car is a 95 green ford taurus wagon, 110k, with a power steering pump that sings higher notes than mariah carey, which we affectionately refer to as the carp, bought it at an auction for 1500, not everybody is special enough to have a CAR that seats 8. Haven't been able to save money to get the pump replaced...on the to-do list once I pass upgrade.
