Yes, both are Nikkor. I bought the 18-200mm locally and have ordered the 12-24mm from Adorama. The 18-200mm goes for about $640 and the other is on sale for $885.
I wouldn't buy the D90 for the video. It doesn't autofocus when shooting video so it's not very usable. I think Cannon's new camera does autofocus while shooting video however. You should look at that one.
im actually in the process of getting a camera, however not sure what most people use. Most seem to use cannon or the nikon. Do any of you use a digital camera such as a point and shoot type camera or are you using the more advance camera's. If you are using a a point and shoot type digital camera which do you perfer and why? How are they while flying and can you even zoom in close enough to get the picture you want.

If you have the oppurtunity to use a DSLR you wont go back to Point and shoot. In my opinion if you are serious about photography you need an SLR. Canon and Nikon have had solid reputations so they are usually the ones everyone gets.

Canon and Nikon are also not the only makers out there. Olympus, Pentax, Konica Minolta, Leica, etc, etc all make great gear but don't have as much market share.
