I know there are a lot of pilots here that are in too photography on there days off or on(does not matter too me). What do people like taking PICS of and what do you shoot with. Me personally I will shoot anything and currently own a Nikon d40 and D300 with an assortment of lens and filters and a couple tripods.

Nikon D100 with two Nikkor lenses. The best is the 80-200 mm 2.8 D lens

Nikon DLSR and glass, pocket wizards, assorted speed lights, assorted light modifiers, and a subscription to the www.strobist.com RSS feed!

Here's a new stream for non-aviation stuff that I started shooting this month:

I just got an Olympus E-520 with the 14-42 kit lens. I hope to be getting more Zuiko glass soon.

Canon EOS 30D and 40D. 100mm macro lens is the most fun for the money.

That's a pretty fast lens.

I got the most recent Zuiko 40-150 and I love it. I am saving for a Zuiko 70-300 now as I can't afford the 50-200 (fantastic lens).

I just got a Nikon D90 and am having a lot of fun with it. Instead of the kit lens I bought the 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 and just ordered a Nikon 12-24mm.

When I was in the Air Force you had to have special permission to take pictures on the flightline. Now that I'm flying for DAL is it usually okay to take pictures on the ramp at US airports? How 'bout overseas?

I was in Barcelona taking pics on the ramp and a security guy came up to me and started talking. I don't speak Spanish and he didn't speak English but it seemed he was try to say not to take pictures. I played dumb, showed him my badge and camera and then went about shooting and he didn't stop me. What's your experience been?

How much did that lens cost you? Is it Nikkor?

I've never tried to shoot at an airport overseas as the airline I work for only flies domestically. I have actually had some ticket counter supervisor confront me one time because I was taking pics in the main terminal. Even though I was in full uniform, she wanted to see my badge.
