In any case, I recently bought an Orange Tiny Terror Combo. It's freaking sweet. You can get more tone out of a few tubes and three knobs than you can with a solid-state amp and a world of effects pedals...

I've been playing for just over 12 years with the same cheap Pacifica It's held up very well. Had a baby Taylor that I accidentally broke a few years ago. My uncle was in a band and still keeps his vintage '56 strat in pristine condition

Bass:

1975 Kramer 450 Aluminum Neck (awesome rock-bass), but a pain outdoors when temperature goes up and down.

Carvin 5-string fretted w/active electronics, 24-fret; through-body neck

Carvin frettless 4-string with ghost-fret lines, also 24 "fret;" through-body neck (phenomonal jazz sound)

1975 Acoustic Research model 450 Bass amp head and cab; twin 15 in speakers (still the best bass amp I've ever played; doesn't sound solid-state even though it is). Back of the cab has a warning that sound levels may exceed 120 db within 10 ft of the enclosure

Guitar:

Yamaha F-310 acoustic, relatively cheap guitar I learned on but sounds really nice

Electric:

Ibanez RGT-142 Cherry Sunburst, through-body neck, 24-fret, Floyd Rose

Boss ME-50...best multi-effect I've found and played. EASY to use on stage...knobs instead of aggravating menus

Randall RG100SC, 100 watts, stereo chorus, and twin 12s. I liked it better than Marshall, Mesa, Boogie, or Fender. Thing has some balls at the low end...the others sound tinny and wimpy to me.

Styles:

Jazz, rock, classic rock, alternative/progressive, fusion. Wish I could play classical.

Got a LAG Custom Made from France... combined with a LAG - Spitfire tube preamp , an "engel" amp and a marshall speaker (4x75W)... worked for me the last 20 years and the sound of the speakers gets better every year ..

I was a musician before I became a pilot. It's funny how many musicain/pilot's there are out there. I've been playing about 24 years and still doing the band thing. I don't think I'll ever quit. I enjoy it too much.

I've got a '82 Les Paul Gold Top that is my baby. I run that through 2 Marshall half stacks in stereo.

A JCM 800 that was my first amp that I run through the 1960A slant cab 4X12
I happened to buy a 100 watt super lead from a Captain from Midwest Express that has a vintage slant cab.

I usually don't take it on the road because it's pretty bulky, but, I bought a Martin backpacker for the road and it's great.

I got a mexi tele about a year ago and it's pretty damn nice for the money.

The band I'm in has been playing for 16 years and we have 2 records and we are working on what will probably be our last. It's taken on a different role, we all have kids and real jobs, but it's still a blast.
