I ride a CBR600F4 the last comfortable street bike...Also have operated an '82 Honda CB900F.

I live in the NW and have trouble keeping my battery charged. I have tried a trickle charger but I've been told that can shorten the life. Any suggestions to what sort of charger to use during the cold months?

I think a trickle charger/battery tender is supposed to increase the life, but I'm no expert. Most people with long winter seasons just take the battery out and keep it inside for the winter where it won't freeze. Before you start up in the spring, just throw it on a charger for an hour.

I have an 05 Ninja 250 and am terrified about having to sell it when I move for a new job. On the flip side, it may be the cheapest hobby while making no $. 130 bucks a year for insurance, 60 mpg and a few oil changes, not that bad.

I use the Battery tender and it works great. Highly recomend.

I ride '06 Triumph Spreed Triple on the street. Great city bike. Short and stubby with an upright ride so you can see others and they can see you.

On the dirt and track, I ride an 08 Yamaha YZ450F. Unecessarily fast. Will be traing in for a 250F soon.

Just a few weeks ago purchased a 1981 Suzuki GS250T. It has battery problems. Had to buy a new one, and it still drains the battery pretty fast. Went and attempted to take the test for my motorcycle license yesterday, and flunked it.
