The flaps are molded at 0 degrees and can be cut out of the wing then reglued back on at what ever setting you like. The slats are retracted, so you make your own slats from a sheet of styrene and glue them on.
There are some who get into really intricate techniques for more detail, and I'm sure DH will speak for himself, but those are the basics.
I built the TWA "Twin Globe" version of this kit, but just kept it configured clean and put it on a custom stand.

It was built just as you explained it , krueger flaps are made from styrene and the flaps are cut from the kit itself .
In order to do the kruger flaps you have to hollow out the bottom section and cut new ones from styrene it,s not so bad once you get the hang of it .
Can a mod please change the small a to a large A ?Thanks

Schould have used Clipper instead .
