I know exactly what you are talking about. My hockey team at my last tournament had t shirts made that said "my drinking team has a hockey problem."

I 'think' I know what you are talking about. Are you talking about a hash club? I am a member of one in PNS. These running clubs are absolutley awesome. Almost every city has a kennel (Hash House Harriers). These are basically mystery runs, usually a 5k or 10k with random beer stops. Many people dont know what these are because the name can be misleading. Its a running club, the runners are known as 'hashers', with 2 to 3 hares who set the trail, and everybody else follows.

Organization:
The Hash House Harriers is a decentralized organization, with each chapter (sometimes called a Kennel) individually managed with no uniting organizational hierarchy. A kennel’s management is typically known as the MisManagement and consists of individuals with various duties and titles, such as Grand Moron or Religious Adviser. There are more than 1,700 kennels spanning all seven continents. Most major cities are home to at least one kennel, with some areas boasting more than ten groups. Kennels typically contain 20-100 members and are usually co-ed, though some metropolitan area Hashes can draw more than 1,000 Hashers to an event.

I was WAY off. But I do run and I do drink, just never thought of combining the two. It would save me alot of time.

HAHA. great point. Yes hash club running or 'hashing' is a great way to multi-task our favorite activities. I encourage you to use an internet search engine to find a hash club in your area. There are kennels throughout the entire country. Generally, the larger cities have multiple hash club organizations. A great way to meet some great people!
