No one holding us hostage. We can (and do) leave all the time. And no one is stealing anyone's food.
I know lots of folks don't like the idea of the Lodge but we've been here for almost 10 days and it's fine.
After 6 weeks I know I'll be ready to get the hell outta here but that would be true anywhere ...

You've also only been there "almost 10 days"... give it time. I guarantee someone from AO/GO/Inflight and (God forbid) Flight Ops will begin poaching food and beverages out of the "community kitchen."
After 6 weeks at the Residence Inn, I was happy to go home but it was by far the easiest, most relaxed, and enjoyable of the 10+ long term training events I've ever had due simply to the fact I had a kitchen to prepare my own meals, an apartment sized room so I didn't feel like I was in a cage, and plenty of options to get out, explore, and eat with classmates.
But I'm sure we'll all enjoy that softball field...

I didn't get FLL two days ago when I was wrong it was out, and I didn't get it today now that it's rightfully out. Bummer. That being said, a guy in my November 2014class got Long Beach.

How does one leave if cars aren't allowed to be parked at the lodge? The word we're getting out on the line is no spouses/guests and no cars.

5-7 years of reserve on the short staffed Captain side for JFK E90 is going to be a kind of torture that only the strong survive. Hope they are local!
