Congrats on the call... So, what is the phone call screening all about? What they ask you over the phone? Thanks and good luck to you in the interview

I hope so! Anyone get a call from WIA? Strange they are calling before emailing, I guess it used to be the other way around.

I attended the Women in Aviation conference and spoke with Ellen. I walked away feeling like I would receive a call, but so far nothing but silence. I managed to find someone that has a blue dart that will use it for me. I guess it's time to use it.

Does anyone know what the upgrade projection is for a 2015 new hire? I've heard non-JetBlue pilots speculate anything from 5 to 20 years.

5yrs for E190, 6-7 for A320 would be conservative. It is currently at 3yrs for E190 and 3.5yrs for A320. Keep in mind the junior CA positions are usually JFK and you can forget about seeing the left seat in MCO/FLL/LGB for a very long time.

Curious; why do you think the upgrade time will increase? People have been speculating it will increase for years - I say that based on looking at old threads.
Is it hiring slowdown? Slower growth?

Aircraft deferrals, pilot group is growing, also once we get a contract with better reserve rules i also suspect many senior FOs will take the bait and jump for CA slots.

Currently the junior CA position is 75% relative seniority for E190 and 72% for A320. I don't think those will hold for very long.

Well good news for the newbies. The leather jackets are in from the Nov and Dec classes! Just in time for Spring. At least I can quit wearing the Flexjet jacket now

Depends on the quality of the fight. At the very least we will stamp your passport.
