...actually got a job at an engineering firm.....little company called Hamilton Sundstrand. Anyone ever heard of it? ... I moved on from there to Pratt and Whitney working as an engineer....
Yep I used to work in an office where my colleagues made most of the parts in the air conditioning and nitrogen packs going into the 787 that bear the Hamilton Sundstrand name. HS makes APUs, ECS systems and other parts for transport category jets. They were known for being fussy.

You can be a travel/agency nurse/p.t./o.t./r.t. in the same city you live in and not have to move anywhere.
You know NOTHING of which you speak, and I for one have no interest in educating someone like you-but for the many who have p.m.'d me, keep them coming fellas-I will help in any way I can.
Actually, I did some research and discovered that many hospitals won't hire traveling nurses who live within a certain radius. And right they shouldn't. So tell me how it is that I know nothing. I certainly don't know everything, but I'd wager I'm closer to that end than the nothing end. You know almost nothing about me.
I'd fly with de727. I've personally always enjoyed his perspective.

But don't you know TM is the biggest guy in here. He knows it all, has seen it all and has no fault. If you flew with de727, I bet you would spend the few hours in the cockpit learning a bunch, rather than *****ing about the good ol' times and how everything has gone to hell.
He'd prolly open some window and have you sucked out, if you started crying.

Ohhh....that's just plain mean spirited. I only mentioned the pay in direct response to a challenge. Review the thread. Wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. That said, I think it's good for folks to see the top end. Gives them something to shoot for in spite of much of the doom and gloom at this forum. I don't mean to come across with a big ego. If you met me in real life, you'd not believe it was DE....

Yep, within 60 miles for the tax advantage-they're called "agency" RN's then. Travelers over 60 miles/Agency under 60 miles-clear on this now?
The figures you see under each respective state represent after tax take home pay. I am also on the board at the facility where I practice, so I know EXACTLY what these nurses make each week.
There are thousands of others. Do your homework son, before you open your mouth and get embarrased
That website is a joke........................
Me be "embarrased?, its with two S's,
You would think being on the "board" you would at least be able to spell?
What am I missing here? You sit reserve, apparently commute, flew only 100 hours last year and earned $308,000 from UPS in a year?
I'll assume 80 hours guarantee a month on reserve= 960 hours of pay a year. Now if you aggressive reserve every single one of your 100 hours and assumed they never called you for a single trip all year, that's $308,000 divided by 1060 total hours which equals $290/hour for a 757 captain. And apparently a junior 757 captain since you have to sit reserve.
Assuming no aggressive reserve and 960 hours that's $320/hr.
I know they pay well, but hmmmm. Care to shed some light?
