Default Wierd SW paint scheme

I don't know if I already asked this or not. I looked around but didn't see it. Anyway I was in DCA the other day and there was a blue and white southwest plane. Nothing special about it at all. It actually looked like a plane would for cargo or something. It was blue on the bottom and white on the top with a blue/white tail. On the blue part of the tail the word South West was on it. Very very non "commercial" looking. Anyone else seen this thing flying around? Why is it painted like that?

Its an ex Ford plane. They needed it on the line asap and didnt have time to paint it. I believe they say it wont be done until the next major inspection is due.

You work for CHQ, and you are talking about another airline with a very "non-commercial" look to it?

That's funny, have you seen some of your 145's in IAH lately?

Show me where spanky. I asked about a specific plane and if you haven't seen it you simply wouldn't understand. Even if you did you probably wouldn't understand. It looked more like a cargo plane and definitly NOT the southwest general paint scheme. I searched airliners.net but didn't see it. I have no idea what you're talking about when you say our 145's in IAH. They have the same paint scheme as yalls. We have a few that are white with a blew tail but they are on the way to be painted. They just had to hit the line before that could happen because the paint shop can't keep up. For some reason we've got a lot of 145s having continental paint being put on them...

Oops, sorry. Just like YOU, I made a spelling error. I meant to say AIRLINER.

Sorry, but I continue to see "yalls" planes with a very generic paint job on them. My favorite is when the UAL colored birds are down there. Too funny.

You are able to tell my why CHQ's planes have a non-descrpit paint job, but not sharp enough to figure out why SW's does as well?

Roll: You got me there. I just got back from running and am a little tired. Just typed away. Obviously was shooting for blue lol.

Dojetdriver: We are a regional airline that contracts out to Delta, United, UsAirways, Continental, and American. We put whatever paint scheme they want on it. That's a little different than a Southwest plane with a completely different paint scheme but still has name on its tail.
