Here is what I got off our site. I hope we can attract people who have more experience than this. Doesn't exactly make me want to bid for the left seat...

Minimum Qualifications:

- 1500 hours total time in airplanes (including turbine Helicopter,

excluding Simulator, Flight Engineer time)

- 500 hours in fixed wing airplanes

- Recency of flight experience will be considered

- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

Certification

- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate

- Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Radio License

- Valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United

States

- Three reference letters from Pilots who can personally attest to the

candidate’s flying skills (must bring originals to interview)

- Vision corrected to 20/20

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

- College Degree preferred but not required

- Regular attendance and punctuality

- Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the

JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion

- Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

- Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is

located

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all

capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the

aircraft

*JetBlue will only consider PIC time when the Pilot has signed for the

aircraft. Please use only this time when completing the areas of the

application asking for PIC time to be entered.

Candidates who have previously interviewed will be ineligible for

another opportunity to do so for a period of six (6) months from the

date of their last interview

Competitive Qualifications:

Our computers surface the most competitive applicants in the database.

These files are then reviewed by a team of line Pilots. Due to the high

volume of applications we receive, competitive qualifications can be

significantly higher than the minimum requirements. On average, we are

currently seeing the following background in candidates selected to

interview:

- Over 3,000 hours total time in airplanes

- Greater than 1,000 hours PIC

- Greater than 1,000 hours in more sophisticated aircraft utilizing

Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS), Flight Management Systems

(FMS)

- Bachelor's Degree

- Recency of experience (Greater than 200 hours within the last 12

months)

*JetBlue will only consider PIC time when the Pilot has signed for the

aircraft. Please use only this time when completing the area of the

application asking for PIC time to be entered.

Their pay is a lot like a regional too (especially on the EMB-190). Maybe that is why there is a coincidence!

I'd like to buy a Vowel!

The forum search feature works much better when thread titles are more descriptive! Thanks for your help.

Thread changed from "Jb" to "Jet Blue Flight Time requirements?"

I think everybody is hurting for quailfied pilots right now. Guess they have to set the minimums somewhere.

I meet there "competetive minimums," but have had no response since submitting my application a couple months ago. Maybe I should resubmit?
