Don't know how many CAL pilots tuned into the Webcast/Phone-in Town Hall Meeting that was held this past Friday, Feb 22nd??

In this 80-90min Webcast, CAL's MEC said that it's merger committee will be meeting this weekend with it's counterparts over at UAL (sounded like Feb 22-24 time frame) in regard to the two airlines potential consolidation talks. I'm sure there has been a lot of this going on "off the record", but this was the first "formal" meeting that I have heard announced by the CAL MEC "on the record" with just one other specific airline.

Interesting progression......any UAL guys/gals hear anything from your side??

I'm at CAL too, but the UAL guys I run into every week on my commute from a UAL hub seem far more convinced that this will happen than the guys I've been flying with at CAL. Perhaps they're getting more info from their MEC than we are.

I hope EVERYONE voted YES on the merger assessment. See you on Wall St.

Like you, I hope everyone votes YES on the assessment as well.

During the above mentioned webcast, the MEC commented on the Assessment Voting. They reported the there had been a positive turn out on votes so far, no results of Yes or No....but an "encouraging" amount of early votes have been cast as of this past Friday.

I'll be out flying a 3 day to Europe over the 12-14....hope our turn out on Wall Street is strong! Make us proud!
