UAL opened at $20.82 this morning preceding the Q1 conference call to discuss UAUA's quarterly loss.

The selloff accelerated as UAL executives failed to provide solid guidance on containing costs and enhancing revenue. Listening to the call, I don't think any of the analysts were satisfied with any of the responses.

UAUA reached a low of $12.78 and is trading down over 30%

Wow, that is telling. Glad I sold my shares last year.

But watch as they reach into their bag of magic tricks and announce, wualah, a merger with US Airways (my guess) next week.

Sometimes I do dive into fast moving airline stocks. Made a killing on AMR (bought at $2.50; sold at $25) and US Airways. I broke even with United.

When did you by the alaska stock? Lat year when it was 40 a share? And now its at 19. A lot of 401k people are hoping it will rebound enough to dump higher.

Maybe a good day to buy UAL stock? Or will it go even lower? I think SWA is a good buy today around $12/ share, pretty close to their 52 wk low. When its all said and done they'll probably be still standing

How come everyone I've ever spoken with about airline stocks says to the letter that they bought AMR at $2-4 and sold at $25-28?
