Recency and currency only count for the day you interview. In my case, I was stuck in a desk job for my last two years in the military. SWA was kind enough to interview me a full year before my date of availability while I still (just barely) held the recency minimums. If you have been offered a job and are in the pool, I think you are OK if you are not currently flying. When I showed up for training, it had been almost 2 years since I last flew.

I believe one of the classes that finished around July 30 stayed at the elegante.

I just ran into a friend who was in upgrade recently and stayed there, I think it used to be a radisson. I will try to get some more info

I'll one up ya FLy Gal..... a friend is in the 8/6 class and is staying at the Elegante. He says it needs a makeover, but the staff is nice and the van will take you almost anywhere you want to go.
