Exactly how does that work? How does a union undo the judges "binding" arbitartion? I guess they could fight it in court, but can they just undo the judges ruling? If so I better look up "binding" because I don't think it means what I thought it meant.
Scoop
I know right, well usapa has put a "new" list together that they have "certified" and is part of the new contract, they just chose to reorder it however they liked. Now management says that everything is negotiable including our seniority list, and our legal representative "usapa" has decided that they want a strict doh list, of course doh won't apply to the east pilots only the west pilots, make sense?
Speaking of callsign's, I wish the ground ATC controllers at LGA and DCA would stop referring to the connection carriers by the parent companies they are working for.
Sorry for the rant ...
-Fatty
Is the ground controller with the distinct speech impediment still working ground at LGA?

Fatty... I think you are just gonna have to get over it. They are never gonna say follow the "Pinnacle 900 from the left".... They are probably gonna say...."Follow the -900 ... or Follow the Delta regional jet or some other itteration"..... They just are not gonna use the Regional Company names... which in most cases are in very small print on the aircraft.
No, you guys are completely misunderstanding what I am saying. I am finding it very difficult to put it in words here.
ATC was referring to the express jets as the parent company. For example, calling the Delta Connection jet Delta. Calling US Airways Express jet, US Airways. To me, they are different. Call me crazy.
SO ... when you tell me to follow the "US Airways jet" and my choices are a US Airways 737 and a US Airways Express Dash-8 (Im guessing), I'm going to follow the 737.

I understand what you are saying. Put another way, when they tell you to follow "company." No, they are NOT company, just tell me to follow the "regional jet."

This kind of confusion is exactly why all US legacy carriers (now save one) and the vast majority of the Worlds carriers use the name painted on the side of the AC for a call sign.
It is also why the FAA recommends that the airline name or something related to the livery be used for a call sign.
But to heck with all that, lets just use something unrelated, against FAA recommendations, just to bash East pilots.

Really... like those unsafe British Airways pilots using "Speedbird," or Air Lingus using "Shamrock" or... you get the picture...
