Or the CA abusing his power demanding that video be deleted. I'm usually against such things - but this actually sounds like a possible law suit brewing.
Demanding that the video be deleted ... yeah, that's a little out of hand.
However, operating an unapproved electronic device against the FAR's is another. Something tells me although there is no right for the video to be deleted she may have bitten off more than she could chew. But to say to say that I'm the Captain so delete it? No, go pound sand. And yes, I have flown as Captain. Nothing gives him/her the right to do that. Again, if someone got pi$$y with me about it then yeah, it's time for a flight crew report and see if there are any FAR violations.
Wow, this was way overboard (unless there's more to the story), a flight attendant has no right to ask someone to delete a video - sounds like they're oversensitive about being filmed after the ice storm fiasco where some pax put up their films on the internet.
"A list of approved portable electronic devices may be found..."
I hope that she sues them for every dime they have - this police-state crap has gone on far too long.
While I can't pass judgment since I don't know what happened...when you change your name to everyday RJ you may have more faith in the crew, at least initially.

True. I'm sure there's more to the story than is initially apparent. Understand, though, that I'm more directing that at the insanity/annoyance/waste that is TSA and friends wanding grandmas and running explosive detection equipment over my underwear, than at the airline itself.
Why do we have to tolerate the abridging of our personal liberties?
