Hey guys,

I am just trying to get any additional information I can on Allegiant. I have researched this company very carefully. This is the only company I applied to because Allegiant provides, in my opinion, the best opportunity for any pilot. A company that is growing and making money is where I would like to work.

If a pilot’s plan is to work out his career as a First Officer then apply to all the legacy carriers and Southwest. I would rather be on the front end of an up and coming company whose management knows how to run a business, make money, and has a good working relationship with their employees.

I second this comment, right now southwest and allegiant seem to be doing something right. I’m not a big fan of 121 flying, (fractional and cargo are more stable*), but right now those two airlines seem to be on the right track. Of course it could all change tomorrow with this wild industry.

* Not a guarantee.

I would love to work for Allegiant...I was looking on thier website and under qualifications it said

"The Chief Pilot may waive the time requirements contained above if the candidate has other experience that would make him qualified for the position. All waivers will be in writing and placed in the pilot’s permanent record"

How lucky do you have to be to get that? Does anybody know how often that happens?

It won't happen.

We currently have over 5000 resumes on file, with a large number of furloughed jet pilots in the stack. No need whatsoever to waive any flight time requirements.

Once you do meet the minimum requirements, send a resume and cover letter to Careers@allegiantair.com

Good luck!

Not likely in the current job market! What experience do you have that makes you qualified, with less than published minimums? Blue Angel or Thunderbird?

I'm not saying that I am qualified, I was just curious...never seen that before.

Not a lot of close formation flying in the Regionals is there ?
Now the smile and grab a hand - they have that down pat!
