Gentlemen,

Respectfully, trying to determine which job is more stressful isn't a competition, so I'm not sure why it's even an issue. It's not like there is a prize to be won for performing the more stressful job.

What I believe is the ultimate issue (because y'all are truly interested in my unsolicited opinon, right?) is that the Fraudulent Aviation Administration has been taking money out of ALL of our pockets for years with their (in no particular order):

-Incompetence in upgrading the ATC system (read: fuel burn)
-Abhorrent culture for the ATC guys and gals (read: contract and numbnut supervisors, to name two.)
-Capitulation to the ATA (read: FAR duty days/rest periods and the resultant fatigue).

Needless to say, I'm a big fan of ATC with an opposite sentiment in my heart for their boss(es).

In the last two weeks my squadron has had three near-midairs (as defined by the Naval Safety Center), a loss of engine oil resulting in a single engine approach, and today I had a wing unlock caution (remember my wings fold). Probably more but those come to mind while I sit here.
I only know one side of the coin and like I said - I couldn't do your job so I won't be learning that side of the game.

Yeah, I can't relate to that kind of flying. My stuff mostly has a coffee pot in it.

He shoots, he scores. You nailed the FAA ATC management there.

As for USMCFLYR and me, I think we were posturing to see who bought the next round.
At O Club rates of course.

Not at all....I'll gladly buy ANY ATC'er a round or two that I come across. If you read from my very first post in this thread I said that I couldn't do your job!
