Ok FO pay stinks, BUT! Captains say start at $60ish/hr to fly a 50 seat a/c. Supposedly we get paid for the number of seats on the plane, thus the bigger the plane, more money. If you look at the equation per number of seats and pay, does a pilot flying a 150 seat plane (3 times a 50 seat RJ) start at $180 per hour(which is 3 times the pay, NO!) So I would say we are all underpaid, or maybe Mainline is underpaid compared to the regionals!(If its per seat).
If you do this job for the money you will be miserable. There are many other things about this career that make it the best job in the world, and none of them have to do with money.

Compare your training, responsibilities, and schedule to other jobs and see what they pay.
You are grossly underpaid and seem to be okay with it. We all appreciate the help.

I enjoy the benefits that the ID card affords me... discount on fine Haute cuisine at the airports. Chicks no longer dig the pilot thing... so you can kiss that aspect goodbye.
