Thanks Captain Lonestar. Thanks for being a wonderful champion of labor relief on a contract that was signed 5 years prior and weathered the storm of multiple meltdowns prior to this "dire need." We were all affected from senior line holders to the bottom reserve. The grievance process was inundated from it.
But please let me guess - you're part of the SPA ALPA internal spin machine that's now finally beginning to grab your bullhorn and busload of sheep to pump the masses full of Ackerman's snake oil on why this contract will be the best thing for us, regardless of the truth. Don't worry, the rest of us will see through how ever many propaganda handles you utilize.

Amogero, Creed, Ackerman. All the same my friend. They don't matter. ACY is the power force for negotiations. MEC's come and go, Maytas stays no matter what!
Really? Didn't affect me at all, and I flew through the meltdown. Never once left the confines of the CBA. If it did affect you, there's a grievance process that would make you whole. I'm not saying I agree with the union's decision or rationale for CBA relief, but let's not overdramatize it.

The fact that the precedent was set to release portions of the CBA by crying wolf HAS and WILL affect each and every one of us. Good on you that you can't see the direct affect in your micro prospective from the June meltdown, but the effects of a naive MEC's decision to relieve portions of the contract without getting the compensation in writing first, instead accepting a vague "we'll take care of you" from the company, has set us all back. Remember that the expectation of compensation for the contract relief is not an internet created outcome, but it came right from Ackerman's mouth! One which he spoke of multiple times in the aftermath...funny how quiet he is on the subject now.
Our leadership will get a chance to be judged dependent on the quality of the TA they bring us. If it is a poor TA, we should react and remove and replace. But until then, what good does the constant undermining do for us as a pilot group?

Am I the only one that hates the ORD layover? Seriously.. A 30 hour layover in Rosemont? Sweet. I'm so pumped to go grab dinner at Toby Keith's bar and grill I can hardly stand it. On a side note, every single first year Great Lakes BE1900 FO is making $112 in holiday pay today. 100% of NK pilots are making $0 in holiday pay today.

Our hotel situation is turing a descent gig into a miserable experience out on the road.

Don't care about the length of the van ride as long as it takes us somewhere interesting. On the other hand, if it involves a 45 minute van ride to a mall and more chain restaurants than that is indeed a problem.

Nope! I knew full well when I became an airline pilot it wouldn't be a 9-5 weekday only job, that there would be times I would work odd hours, weekends and holidays. The fact that Great Lakes is getting extra pay on Labor Day is good for them, but I don't care, I get extra pay on the important holidays and our contract is better than ours in every other factor. And Rosemont doesn't bother me either I just wish our lines wouldn't get to ORD so late.
