I always wonder how they morally felt about that, with guys on the street and possible furloughs.

It is funny you mention that... just recently all of the Captains who live in ACY who continually pick up open time with possible downgrades and furloughs on the way are crying like babies now that their base is going to get shut down or downsized... They were selfish from the start with their ridiculous LOA (don’t get sick)... We all know who you are... The biggest culprits sit high on the seniority list and have been captains for 15 years... I think they were FO's for only 6 months! RM and CB are the OT all stars so far... Nice job guys way to sell out your fraternal brothers...

There was over 1400 hours open time for June, plus I don't even remember how many reserve days, something really high. I was sure they would start to run into problems. I was wrong. I bet they did not even have to use reserves. But this whole don't pick OT thing never leads anywhere unless everyone is in it. That will never happen. So go ahead pick it up. At least I did not have to go back for the summer just so they can let me go again in September. Airline pilots = seasonal labor. You know like harvest time and _****.

The only way the OT ban works is if it is specifically written into the contract and the ability to pick it up is shut down by the company itself.

Also I don't want JB to buy us. I want a chance to go there without the amount of Riff Raff (you know WHO I mean) that Spirit has collected over the years.
