Per the contract, a new updated list ws to come out in Jan. But as usual it didn't. Another violation of the contract.

As for me posting about Cayman and it's relation to call backs. Everyone keeps saying we might call back based on increased flying. Unless we get new planes, we can't increase the block hours. We are adding new destinations and taking others away. First Coumbia, SC then Cayman.

Plus we have way too many *****s. Almost 200 hours of Junior manning through Feb. 18th. That doesnt even include all the OT being picked up. The pilot group is helping an understaffed airline stay understaffed.

Until it's official and letters are in the mail, I refuse to believe anymore rumors of recall's or new planes .

If this holds true, how in the world do they do it? I was expecting a lot more recall "winning" this arbitration. At this rate see you in 2012.

Taken from a UPS thread when managment announced possible furloughs:

Should the furlough goes through (whatever the number may be), if the company uses management pilots to cover the excess flying due to open time and JA ban and for the IPAers who ignore the ban, they will all fall under the scabs category as far as I'm concern. We did at one time considered integrating the management pilots into the ranks, but if they are to cover even one trip with people on the streets, there will be no more talk or consideration of integration.

Well, yes, we do...they are on the seniority list, but considered managment. I was really refering to the reference of IPA pilots... in our case fellow ALPA pilots picking up open time. They hold a hard line there, and we should too!

This is a GREAT idea, but not for Spirit at the current time. In the current situation where we could possibly be getting close to a strike, labeling 1/6th of the pilot group as scabs prior to a stike means that many will cross the line. What would they have to lose in that situation? Now if we get a contract or if a current contract was not amendable this should be implemented instantly. I believe that you would see an additional 25 recalls right away.
