So who has been extra nice to their air traffic controllers this weekend?
Me.
"Okay, Delta 1521 switching to 126.42, and you know what, I hope you really have a great day. Thanks so much for the next frequency. Thanks. Thanks so much."

I'm with tsquare on this one guys. During the season where the jacket is required, I long sleeve it and try to keep the weight off so the buttons don't look like they're pulling 9 G's.
Since this uniform is basically a Navy uniform, I have to ask. When you Navy guys wore your double breasted jackets, do you have short sleeve shirts underneath?

No - The shirt underneath is long sleeves. But unless you are pulling duty in the Pentagon or some other major HQ, we pretty much only wear them for special occasions.

So much for the "it's a uniform not a business suit" argument.

I always sound like that. I promise!
They must be out. I read this from yesterday.

No Carl, I think the rule is that since some people hate the jacket and hat so much, it is acceptable to make them look as absolutely awful as possible. Be sure to throw the hat under your car and run over it a few times.. and make sure the jacket is tailored so that it wouldn't have fit correctly 30 pounds ago. THEN.. you'll be in pilot vogue. Short sleeves and earbuds are icing on the cake
