First, I ever heard of that. Just wondered if anyone else has heard this.
Apparently there is a new memo out, to the agents, to get it signed and in their hands as soon as possible. It's being discussed on the chit-chat forum. Most pilots are opposed to giving it up until -everything- is done.

In south Alabama the rut isn't until February in most counties. So they extended the season through Feb but didn't start it until the 25th of October. Gun season starts 22 November. No tags in Alabama, one antlered and one non antlered deer a day.

Roadkill, definitely go get a bow. Not only is it fun but it will by necessity elevate your hunting game. It's easy relatively easy to shoot a deer with a gun from 100ds. Try coaxing them in to within 10-30 yds. Expect to spend 2 or 3 more bills for the accouterments that go with the bow. Give yourself a $1000 budget and skip the entry level bows.

If they are going to make me sign that form, I'm not gonna sign it until all the things I'm signing for are in my hands. IE FSR and Pre Pushback.

I agree. Since when do we have to follow ACS memos to agents? I'd ask them to show you a directive from Flt Ops pertaining to this issue prior to complying. It's just another attempt to erode captain's authority.

Not a big deal, you have a copy of the release, if everything is not how it should be just don't push. The rel could be signed when doing the paperwork and handed to the agent.

That's kinda what I thought. It's usually a pain to have the agent coming down and standing in the door at about 5 minutes to push anyways. Interrupts the PDP flow. Be nice to have an electronic acknowledgement on the tablets and not even have to sign the dang thing.

That's the problem Ice. The agents are showing up to close the door well before the D-7 Pre pushback message. The release you sign says you have all the paperwork including a FSR or EFSR. That comes at the time of the PPB message. I had a captain just sign it for me and hand it over whenever the agent wanted it.

And that updated weather and passenger count has to go. Seriously, with a WDR and an ACARS, isn't just an other tree that gives it's life for no reason?

Not kosher. Ask him if he'd be okay with you doing the same.

No. Signing the release says that you have the updated weather addendum and paper fuel slip if required. You do not have those items at the gate.
