Just got my tablet. Seems heavy compared to my iPad. All this talk of ETFs has me more confused than what I like to see walking through the terminal. Sun dresses, yoga pants or jeans and riding boots?????

Not every T minus 9 minutes to go "non rev" is there because they are lazy. Sometimes they are running to make a late connection that wasn't their fault, or stopped to help a little old lady find her way to baggage claim, etc. What if that "non rev" is commuting to work, or even going home after a long trip? What if they are on their yearly vacation, heading to Guard duty, or going to a wedding/funeral? Shutting the door in their face 10 (and yes sometimes even more) minutes before, sometimes on the last flight of the day, just to get that 10 early can cause more headaches in the long run. That shouldn't happen to a "non rev" or a paying customer but it does to both unfortunately.

Closing the door in someone's face 10 or 12 early for a paper "on time" that would have been achieved anyway and then expecting that revenue generator to care 100% about the brand doesn't mesh with reality. We have to take care of our customers and run an on time operation. We also have to take care of our employees and their families in the long term, so that they will be the ones that run the on time operation. Attitude, motivation and the assumption that you are being taken care of gets eroded when you are treated like a marginal liability.

We should take care of every customer, from the $49 super saver to the triple crown diamond tungsten medallion HVC. To do that, we have to take care of the employees that take care of them in the first place. Each employee touches and has a direct effect on more revenue per year than any one customer possibly can. Take care of your employees and they will take care of your customers. #simple

Very well stated!

I'm already well beyond what wife thinks is reasonable what with bench rest shooting, reloading, magazines, Cabelas visits, etc. lol

THEN I reminded her I don't waste like 50 times as much time watching football or playing golf (Yeah, I'm trolling like FTB is heh...), both of which return no viable zombie-survival skills really, and she says "have a nice time practicing for the apocalypse! Look into some AR purchases while you're at it!"

No, really!
Cabela's carries this "Zombie-survival/apocalpyse" necessity. Sig makes a fine toy, just a little heavy when you have a 20-round clip of .308/NATO 7.62 rounds hanging underneath the gun.

SIG716 Patrol

My wife doesn't necessarily appreciate the Cabela's visits, but then again, I don't enjoy her going to Nordstrom's either. So, it's a compromise.

Airbus ups the ante with a transatlantic 321.

I guess you won't have to worry about much traffic when step climbing from FL260-300 crossing the atlantic.

Lets just go back to turboprops why don't we... If you're gonna cruise in the mid 20's, why burn all that Jet-A?

Then the aileron falls off, blocks the pilot tube and the tail falls off and dead.

Don't bid Airbus until I tell you it's okay.

I've done what dalad has done, it's considered the safe way to profit from the VIX moves. The issue is that due to the nature of these ETF's, the taxes basically negated any gains, although I never did it through a ROTH.

Basically, you simply buy SVXY after a large spike in the VIX starts to abate, and especially after the government agrees to some form of bailout(QE, TARP, etc).

Shorting UVXY is a bit tricky, it mostly involves shopping around for shares to short. I suggest not touching UVXY in any way, unless you are a pro.

Any ATL people out there know of a quiet, clean, private room in a crashpad, that is currently available, and walking distance to the training center? I am a newhire, just finished indoc, and am returning to Virginia Ave on Nov 6th for 320 training. I have called and emailed several leads I've had, but most I would need a car to get to. The hotels are getting wind of Delta's massive hirings of both pilots and FA's, and are not very negotiable. Any info would be appreciated!
