Gotcha... Sorry, I thought you were talking about initial bidding. When you look at an open time trip in iCrew, if the A is an LCA, it should be noted by his name.
The only way to know who the LCAs are is to see LCA by their name on a rotation. And that doesn't guarantee it's an OE.
This is the entitlement philosophy that I abhor. Do your job first. If you must, game the system later. How long have you been on property Juggy?
Nk it doesn't give you employee numbers. It will AWARD/AVOID but it won't identify. Just like if you want to NO FLY a guy, you have to look up his number.

Is that due to his contract brilliance, or right-place/right-time? There simply don't seem to be many (if any) GS for the 717B crowd. With the amount of reserve coverage in place, IROPS or last-minute changes seem to be the only time they crop up from what little I've seen. No predicting the IROPS, and last-minute is (will be) a challenge for me as a commuter....
I'm happy to be wrong--is there something I can/should do to improve my chances of joining the GS fraternity??

I got called for an inverse assignment (same 2X pay) last fall, at 10pm, on a Sunday night while I was watching the NFL playoffs and drinking beer. She wanted me in ATL in two hours to fly 16 hours to Johannesburg.
When I got done laughing I told her I didn't think I was her guy, keep looking. I guess they never did find anyone sober that night and cancelled the flight.
Or they come on holidays, and since I've had 4 kids, I NEVER would answer the phone Dec. 23-26, or the Monday-Weds. prior to Thanksgiving.
There are some things more important than money.
My favorite trips are the IOE's, where you stay home and get paid. Much more cost/time off effective than flying overtime. But for the poor souls who have to live in PTC, at least they can make some extra money flying extra days. I don't think I want to live that close to my work. As one senior Capt. said to me long ago, "The problem with Green Slips is...you have to show up and fly them!"
What we ALL should be doing is, Green Slip With Conflict only!
That way, you don't have to work 'extra' days to still get GS pay.

If you just put in Award trips with LCA and have no other restrictions you will get trips with them even if you are junior. It's still a crapshoot because they obviously don't do OE all the time so you might end up flying with them. I've had 2 trips bought in the last 2 months and got ALL my trips in November with LCA. Some LCA are junior and get horrible trips over the weekends that no senior FO's will bid.
The bad part about playing the LCA game is if it is a crappy trip you won't swap it because you hope they will buy it, when they don't buy it you end up flying a crappy trip with a LCA. (90% of them in SLC are awesome though)

I'm not so sure about that.

I think the most important source to learn is the actual contract. As I wrote, start with section 23... know it forwards and backwards... then ask what-ifs when you fly with someone who knows what they're doing.
Most guys just get their pbs bid and that's it... after I get my award, that's when my real work begins... drops, swaps, flips, flops, etc. (Of course I've already set myself up for that work with my initial pbs bid.)
I heavily use widget works: including trip alerts, and easy swap... and that's all I'm going to give out on a public board... as a mid seniority 7ER Capt, I have to protect my artificial seniority!
I do give the full coarse when I fly with someone who wants to learn the system.
Good luck!
