If you really want to be knowledgeable about oil and its history this is a must read:

The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money & Power by Daniel Yergin | 9781439110126 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble

The only way to describe this book is awesome. It is not ideological but more historical/academic which I really liked. It is basically a world history of energy/politics from the 1850's and although very long and detailed you will not want to put it down. A very enjoyable read.

If you want to be knowledgeable about oil/energy this is a great place to start.

Scoop
Thanks, Scoop, I'll probably get it. It can sit next to some of my other books that have a few more years seniority on the bookshelf of unread gems:

The Last Lion Box Set: Winston Spencer Churchill, 1874 - 1965: William Manchester, Paul Reid: 9780316227780: Amazon.com: Books
The Intelligent Investor: The Definitive Book on Value Investing. A Book of Practical Counsel (Revised Edition) (Collins Business Essentials): Benjamin Graham, Jason Zweig, Warren E. Buffett: 9780060555665: Amazon.com: Books
Democracy in America (Penguin Classics): Alexis de Tocqueville, Isaac Kramnick, Gerald Bevan: 0042516142645: Amazon.com: Books

Happy Halloween.
I thought that when Emirates placed their last big order they said they were going to replace a lot of their old ones with new ones, so maybe some there too...?

DogWhisperer's Captain Happy shirt may or may not have made an appearance out trick or treating tonight.

Got to my "room" at the Roosevelt last night.

A bed. A lamp. A TV bolted to the wall. Bathroom door wouldn't open all the way because the bed was blocking it.

This "room" is so small, I have to go outside to change my mind.
