Can't let L&G disappear. Must hold on.

FYI: This makes about as much sense as DALPA's negotiating strategy.

I remember you with Ginger Lynn in new wave hookers. Why didn't you stick with acting?

All right...I need a break from the TA talk...its making me angry and my BP is way to high!

I have a long layover in LHR coming up, what are some of the unknown cool things to do?

Do they have an RAF museum, Royal Navy Museum or something like that? (I am Retired Naval Aviation) any really cool bars to have some pints in?

Yes to all of the above, but you'll have to Google "RAF Museums" for the directions, unless someone here has exact locations.

There's a million things to do on the long London layovers.
Here's a "little known" one:

Take the ferry down the Thames to Greenwich.
Go to the Royal Observatory. (Greenwich Mean Time)

Not specifically aviation related but there's a lot of cool exhibits about the history of timekeeping and navigation and all that.
Actually very relevant to "ocean crossing" still to this day.
Stand on the Prime Meridian.
Zero longitude. One foot in the Western Hemisphere, one in the East. That will make you thirsty.

Have some pints in the little downtown area.
Kinda touristy but there's a couple neat old pubs.

The RAF Museum is a great place for british aero-history, it's about a 35 minute ride on the tube. I assume you'll get on at Gloucester Road station, (nearest to hotel), take the Piccadilly Line (blue line) to Leiceister Square stop, then change to Northern Line (black line)to Colindale stop. From there, use your iPhone maps to walk the 5-6 blocks east to RAF museum. The ticket is Zone 4, or use a daypass. There are some signs pointing to the museum, but they are hard to see. Well worth the visit - Lancasters, Vulcan, Lightning, classic british fighters, and free for all airline pilots to enter! Actually, everyone is free but it sounds better if I say airline discount. Afterwards, a pub around Covent Gardens stop would be a good place to re-hydrate. Have fun in LHR.

Perhaps this is redundant but the C2015 TA (in its entirety) is available on the DALPA website. Click on negotiations then MEMRAT.

The RAF museum is a must. It is quite large and covers everything from pre WWI to right up to today, definitely worth the travel time.
