WE get pretty good discounts on both Delta cargo and Delta Dash. You can research it via the DELTANET - don't know the exact location because it has been a while. I used Cargo last summer to ship a bike and it worked out great. Realize that your items will not go to baggage claim but the related cargo facility which may be a mile or two away.

If I remember correctly Delta Dash is basically the first available flight and has size restrictions to ensure the package fits. This should not affect you out of South Africa but could be a factor if you have a connecting flight in the US.

Delta Cargo was cheaper but not necessarily as speedy. Once you find the right page on the DELTANET you can look up each individual station and there was also a number to talk to somebody.

If you thought the dentist that killed that lion was evil, he doesnt hold a candle to that bastard Steven Spielberg.

Spread the word people.

Anybody know how to log an Autoland in iCrew? I've clicked all around that thing for a while and can't find any where to make it happen.

If you log a landing in icrew, it practically doesn't let you escape without logging an auto land.

Personnel, Qualifications, pilot recency info, add/update recency line ops...you're on your own from there.

Did you log it through ACARS? That should take care of it.

I must have wasted an hour clicking around and yet somehow managed to miss that every time...

Thanks!

Anybody seen the FDX TA? I saw a bunch of threads about not liking it, but without reading every single post of every single thread, I couldn't find a simple breakdown of what the company offered. Anybody else seen it and care to cut and paste the Cliff's Notes?

ACARS does not take care of it, you need to update through DBMS. (ACARS will update the autoland recency for the ship#, but not the pilots)

That makes sense, but after I logged mine in ACARS the popup went away in iCrew. I'll have to look again and see if it actually updated.

Maybe it's fleet dependent. In our fleet the landing automatically gets updated in Icrew from ACARS, but you need to go into ICREW to update CAT III currency, as logging an auto land in ACARS doesn't automatically give you cat III currency in ICREW.
