GoJet Airlines Announces Additional Flying and New Partnership With Delta Air Lines

12 Bombardier CRJ-700s added to GoJet’s fleet as Delta Connection

GoJet Airlines LLC announced today a new partnership with Delta Air Lines that includes adding 12 Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft to the GoJet fleet. The dual-class aircraft will fly
as part of the Delta Connection program.

Under the terms of the agreement, GoJet will begin service with the 12 Delta-owned CRJ-700 aircraft in the first quarter of 2012. The total number of GoJet aircraft in service will rise to 37, almost a 50-precent increase in the airlines’ current fleet. GoJet currently operates 25 aircraft as part of the United Airlines Express regional service.

“We are pleased to add GoJet to the Delta Connection family of airlines, we believe GoJet to be a high quality airline and will be a great addition to the Delta network” remarked Don Bornhorst, President of Delta Connection.

“Today’s announcement is exciting news for GoJet Airlines as it not only expands our fleet, but it also marks our second partnership with a major airline. We are committed to this new code-sharing agreement with Delta, one of the largest airlines in the world,” said Rick Leach, President and CEO of GoJet Airlines and President of Trans States Holdings. “Since its launch six years ago, GoJet has strived to be a leader in the regional airline industry by providing our customers with safe, reliable and efficient service on every flight. In our role as a United Express carrier we are continually recognized for providing an excellent product with some of the most professional flight crews in the skies. Now, through this growth we have the opportunity to partner with Delta Air Lines and bring that same great service into this new relationship. We are also proud to grow our fleet of Bombardier aircraft, which have proven to be excellent performers in the marketplace.”

It was a 320, we didn't have the 319's yet.

Who's planes will they be flying? That just proves without a shadow of a doubt that improving the product isn't a priority for Delta Air Lines. More RJ's = FAIL

I know there are some hard feelings between some DAL pilots and Comair, but I dont understand the outsourcing of aircraft DAL owns when they have a regional they own too.

Is it just is another day in bizzarro superman world?

Does DALPA have some quid pro quo deal with mgmt whereby Comair is no longer viable by agreement...you know it is the last bastion of unity and scope recapture...right?

The things I know of that may not be reimbursed are commuter hotels 1xmonth, and airport parking (not at a pilot base) of $176/mo roughly.

what do you guys all do for travel costs for taxes?
As Scambo, I too use the Flightline Expense Report. Have used it for years and it has saved me a lot of money (I'm not a receipt saving kinda guy). It also includes a flight Log that lists every flight. It's not bound but it's good enough form me!

As he said, the first one is free and then costs $50 a year when you order it.

As far as writing off commuter hotels, parking etc., be very careful when trying to do this. I looked into it once and, basically, you needed to have 2 jobs to be able to write commuting expenses to one off.

Recall - GoJets screwed ALPA members Trans States, took their flying, violated their scope.

IMHO - Delta's award of our "permitted" flying should be condemned

Comair, is Delta & Comair is ALPA. Delta is reducing the value of its own subsidiary with this stupid award of flying to an incompetent air carrier.
