Many of us have studied your contract and know a lot about what's in it. Speaking of anthropologists, it would be nice if your contract was "so easy, even a caveman could understand it."
When we get things wrong, please continue to set us straight. For the most part, facts really do matter around here.

I'm an airline pilot - so I got that goin for me....which is nice.
A quick look at the Open Enrollment stuff shows $1M of extra coverage for a non-tobacco 36 year old male to be $24.50/mo, which comes out to just shy of $300/year. Any opinions on this option versus something like a level term policy (ends up being around $350/yr). How much can I expect the $24.50 to go up year over year? Is the company insurance a decent deal, or does it get exponentially more expensive over time?

So section 1 was murdered and it'll take a CSI team to figure out how it happened? Can we vote on the CSI team?

I could care less whether you insult ALPA. I do it every day. What I was getting at is the propensity to post facts, which I do in fact like, then you top it off with a personal insult towards the person you're disagreeing with. This is what I'm getting at. If that's how you wanna run your show, fine by me. Just hope you don't act that way towards crewmembers who disagree with you.

Fair enough. I try pretty hard not to do that despite being constantly baited by the many ALPA officers that post here. But once again, you listed my telling a guy to get his story straight as an insult even though he contradicted himself in the same post. That's not a personal insult. It's pointing out a clear contradiction.

Pilot to pilot swap board is a completely different animal from open time on E-crew/I-crew. It will show up there if you put in for it to be a personal drop, after the next PCS run. It will appear as a qualified (Q) trip. Somebody can pick it up, but not trade for it.
See, this is what I'm getting at. Is it really wise to pee on your support, ala DALPA? I am more DPA than ALPA, thanks to conversations with others, but seriously, you are doing more to turn me off of DPA. I have to ask myself, Are all DPA supporters as angry and condescending as you? Do we have to toe the Spackler line, or can we be dissenting supporters? Will we be tolerated if we disagree with you, or will we be harangued as "closet ALPAites?"
I went through 3 union drives at a previous carrier. Our independent drive was destroyed by one person. This person was very vocal, just like carl. I can only hope that Tim can help tone down his voice. Carl, your message needs to be heard. Your delivery is questionable. Fix the delivery and you will have more people helping you spread the message. Keep up the same condescending attitude and you will drive people away.
