Insert an 'i' as the first letter of the base, for the line you are trying to bump down. If you want more than one blank space, enter 'i#' as the first two characters of the base, where # = the number of new spaces you want.
For example, you want to insert a new line above your third pref which is ATL 777 A. You would input iTL 777 A, and then hit enter. It would bump everything down one line, and leave you a blank space to enter a new preference. If you want 3 new blanks above ATL 777 A, then you would enter i3L 777 A and hit enter.
I don't think it works if you delete all of ATL and just put 'i' or 'i3', etc. You have to overwrite the current base info or you will get the error msg you received.
Good luck
I think this has been changed in the Scheduling LOA, and isn't an option anymore.

M88B is out for December. I obviously don't speak PBS....
But slow night? Not so much. I have recurrent to study for, a CQ CD to do, health care enrollment, waiting for bid, AE/MD bid to complete and stuff around the house... and it was just too much so I quit and played on the internet.
To be honest I've had that for 2 months. Ever since I first saw the whole Honey Badger thing, I was just waiting on someone to bad mouth the 88. 2 months.
But the honey badger just reminded me of the 88.

That's my understanding too. You are now eligible to bid for a month even if you are not bid qualified. In the past we had the blank line option because we couldn't bid prior to being converted.
Scary Stuff on that AA scope thread!
That was not what I wanted to read this morning sitting down with my cup of coffee.... AMR is playing hardball and using the public smear to force a very dangerous set of terms on the pilot group. B scale and further expansion of the ALK group code share. As I said there, good for the ALK pilots short term but not good precedent and very dangerous when ALK mgmt wants their cut of the flesh. I just emailed my reps (because it is all I can do at the moment) to voice my concerns. I know DAL and AMR are in very different financial positions but if this gets through in any resemblance, we will be looking like the monkey *******in the football. ( I am sure FTB has a pic of that somewhere )
From the Scope Doc info to APA
"SCOPE
For many decades in the U.S. airline industry, the Scope clause has defined the flying that pilots of a particular airline are entitled to. There have been primarily two key areas to the Scope clause: regional flying and codesharing. Historically, these areas have also caused contention between airline companies and their pilot unions, but we have an opportunity to create a new Scope paradigm that benefits our pilots and the company.
Regional Flying: Ten years ago, the industry had a one-size-fits-all approach to the regional jet market – virtually all aircraft were 50 seats or less, as dictated by pilot labor agreements. However, beginning with a Delta agreement in 2001, and then followed by other carriers’ restructured CBAs in or outside of bankruptcy, our competitors gained the ability to use 70-90 seat jets that were operated by regional airlines. So regional flying began to aggressively replace mainline flying, in addition to the traditional feeder role.
The reason for this is simple: at the regional airline, these 70-90 seat jets have roughly half the unit costs of MD80s, DC9s, and “classic” 737s. The use of regional flying made it easier for network airlines to compete with low-cost carriers, and it enabled them to retire many older airplanes. Of course, one of the reasons for these low regional costs is that these aircraft are flown by pilots with lower rates and more aggressive work rules."
No more Scope relief EVER!

Stupid question ... I completed OE during the first two weeks of the month. Scheduling now has a reserve line built for me for the last two weeks. The LCA suggested that I call scheduling and ask them to move my X and * days around since I didn't bid what they gave me. Do I have a leg to stand on?
