I'll test your theory today. While on the tracks I'll say " The 767ER is the honey badger of the North Atlantic" on 123.45, and listen for the response.
I think it's more the 757 that's the Honey Badger...
"eww, look at all those people crammed in that tiny 757... they are flying all that way with only one aisle..."

Thing is, there is always going to be the crisis or issue de jour that management will point to and scream about the sky falling while trying to manage your expectations.
Time to start managing theirs.
Don't sell yourselves guys.
There. Fixed it for you:
"Thing is, there is always going to be the crisis or issue du jour that management and DALPA will point to and scream about the sky falling while trying to manage your expectations.

You're right! Ewww... Look at it! No IFE! It don't care...
Look at all those junior FAs running up and down the aisle, eww, look how they fit in that skirt. No senior momma gonna picking THAT trip up, 757 don't care!
Anyhow, once the T/A is presented to us, I fully expect that it will be completely taken apart, sliced, diced and pounded by a bunch of us from every possible angle before the first day passes. We will have all the information necessary to completely evaluate it's value, either good or bad. There shouldn't be any areas that are nebulous. We will have a really good idea of its value pretty quickly.
We'll put our best and brightest on to it.
We're going to set up subcommittees to dissect all of the different sections of the TA.
At the end of the day it'll be like a scene out of Apollo 13 where every department checks in with a "GO... flight leader? GO... Gordo? GO!" And so on.
The all important APCF seal of approval will be 5 underboobs out of 5. Anything less, well, will be flat.
I would have rather remained a stand alone DAL. It is what it is though. I am optimistic that we will close the gap on SWA pay. I am still not optimistic that we will see C2K rates however, because of AMR and the obama economy, but we will have to wait and see.
Don't worry, your not alone. There are about 4500 other folks that wish the merger never happened, but we'll get over it to, eventually.

I'm not saying that I wished it never happened. I think it was the best thing for both carriers knowing that consolidation is becoming a reality. If chenge had never happened in the industry, I would have rather remained stand alone. That being said, I'm well over it, and it's time to kick ass. If you haven't gotten over it.. well.. best of luck.

Precisely. We're a team now and a damn good one. Five years from now, we'll all look back and be very thankful that we pulled off the previously unimaginable. See US Air, UCAL, and whomever AMR ends up with.
