I really think it's wrong for the DAL-N guys though. I don't know if that will be enough to make a difference, but I hope it does.

Noooo..... I think that to make a statement like (sic) "Any pilot that voted for a contract that gave up scope must be alright with it" is "naive at best". Contracts are unfortunately very complicated animals, and to blanletly state that if you voted for a contract -even if it compromises scope- that you are somehow alright with it is exhibiting a trait that endemic in America... the one issue voter. THAT is why the political parties of today are so polarized left--- right.

Again - WHY do we have to give to get always?
Because Mgmt has us thinking that way.....they'd have been great at running a POW camp in 'Nam.
Well.. I suppose you are correct. Not that I have any seniority, but I am not one of those guys. Outsourcing OUR jobs sucks...

As to the second part of your statement... We always have to give in order to receive because no matter the conditions, we are ALWAYS negotiating from a position of weakness. Think RLA. Until ALPA national stands up and says "Enough is enough" wrt the RLA, this fact will not change. Until we can assert a SOS like the french or germans... NOTHING will change here. Oh.. and the "leader"of alpa also has to have the guts to stand up to the government too... yeah.. like THAT's ever gonna happen.

(yes, CPs, even at regionals are considered management.) However, he has now come back to the light side.
Sorry, close but not quite.

So you're saying he wasn't a chief pilot, or chief pilots aren't considered management?

He was an LCA, not chief pilot.

Got it. I guess I can't trust the guys I still know over there to come up with the truth.

(But LCA's still work for the Man!)

Kind of, but as an LCA you're still a line pilot with a kool-aid IV that you can choose to use however.
