I know contracts are complicated animals but I also believe that scope is one of those issues that if it is loosened, I would vote no. I don't care how big the pay raise because as it has been proven, pay can be lost once received. You may not like the idea of giving airplanes away but you are also saying that it is ok as long as other things in the contract make up for it. (pay/work rules) There are plenty of things that I don't like in contract but will accept it if other things are better. I don't know of anything that can't be taken back on the next contract if it turned out to be a mistake to change it, except scope.
