No, they will furlough about 300 of us because it is contract negotiaton time. We are gonna get absolutley nothing that benefits us until we are done with C2012. Our SVP of labor relations knows how to manage expectations very well and this is on page one of the play book.

That said, there is a lot of commonality between the 717 and the flat panel mod to the 88/90 that they are testing right now.

If we do get these jets, they should come without the pilots since it would be an aircraft transaction with Boeing and LUV is hiring. Period.
But the FMS and the DFGCP is very different. That may be an issue.

Having flown both, i can say the 717 hands down is much better ride, much quieter. The FMS is more in line with Boeing products, but the DFGCP is more like Airbus.

Nothing that a home study CD can't fix...

Timbo - Agree 100%. The only "problem" our management has with 100 seaters is that they cannot outsource them.

I think that if DCI were allowed to fly 100 seaters you would see a billion dollar order ASAP.

Standard management BS.

Not for pilots? Huh. That's funny. I could've sworn they said we were overstaffed.

Nah, it'll never work. We're too expensive.
