Default CAL Pilots...Time to get it ALL back.

I don't post much anymore. I know there are a lot of our guys on the forum though. Just wanted to remind everybody that we are in negotiations. Just in case you forgot. We also have 147 pilots furloughed. In case you forgot. Those of you picking up open time...shame on you. Those of you VJM. Shame on you too. West coast gulf fuel is $47.31. We were still making money at $130/bbl. The load factor was 86% today and most days...in March. What do you think it will be this summer? Lower? No fing way. We'll be making money hand over fist still flying under a concessionary contract. Act like the college educated people you are instead of the blue collar workers they treat you like! We seem to have some strong union officials with a steady message to get everything we need and settle for nothing less. That is what we should do. If they change their message during negotiations because somebody sells out, we get rid of those people. We young guys heard about the last contract. Remember, furloughs back on property, 30% pay raise+COL for the future, work rules screwed with PBS fixed permantly (or PBS gone). We are working on a contract for the future, not today. Management is getting payed well for doing a great job. We will too. Stay strong. Negotiate like the military....with your knee on their chest and knife at their throat. Figuratively for the lawyers out there. Fraternally.

I'm no new guy but I'm with you 100%.

They can and will be paying for an industry leading contract.

What a concept......... An industry leading contract.

Good for you!

You feel that your management are (or should be) doing a good enough job whereby they can run a viable company without asking their pilots to subsidize it.

Good luck guys.

Does anybody know about how close CAL and AA might be to legal self-help? Interested if they could both be in self-help at the same time.

Agreed, guys. CAL puts out a good product, and it is because of you front line employees.

It is time that you got yours. Best of luck.

Gordon Bethune (I believe):

"You don't get paid the most because you're the biggest. You get paid the most because you are the best."

Would seem a fitting quote for ALL employees at the company...frontline included!
