Default UAL- Another 131 on the street in May

131 pilots to be furloughed in May, down to sen # 6990. Company still says furlough to at least 6440 by the fall.

That includes the 56 "active" pilots correct?
So only those 56 pilot will "hit the streets", the other are already out (military, sick, etc...)?
Where did you get the 131 number? Only saw the 56 in the email.

The info came right from the March edition of Carlson's "Flight Plan" 131 numbers with 56 active pilots.

Gotcha, thanks. That's what I thought. 56 "active" pilots. So we are 662 pilots furloughed now? So, 288 more "active' pilots to go to reach the goal of 950 active?

What merger?

But seriously, looks like the ol' CAL-UAL merger rumor is running full steam again at CAL ALPA's Union hall.

Hang on.

1. Dang, this stinks! Sorry UAL

2. Hypothetically, If the merger happens, what about the 70 seat jets flying for United. That would be the only way for 70 seat jets to fly for Continental correct?

Whoever kees the name after post-merger.
