Point understood and taken.....but as mentioned earlier.....I'm sure I'm far from the minority in believing that Medical Outs will come faster/quicker on an exponential rate in the 60-65 yr old category vs the 50-55 yr old category.
Your are correct, extra flying will be absorbed by reserves. I don't know how your carrier is staffed, but it is safe to say in today's economy at
most carriers would not be considered "PHAT" when referring to staffing. With the higher rates of Medical Outs in the years to come, one would see that reserve staffing would have to be increased, thus leading to "possible" future hiring.....or at best give the furloughs a light at the end of the tunnel.
