Default KSEA ramp control

Who here knows how the Seattle Ramp Tower defines the boundary between the Cargo/North and South frequencies? Are all of the terminal gates (except the North Satellite) controlled by the South Ramp Control frequency?

The boundary is outlined on the 10-9b plate... Your company's Jepp subscription might be different but Horizon has a custom 10-9b chart. The C gates has about 22 different parking spots for Horizon that is not shown on other companies chart.

Our 20-9B plate doesn't show the boundary. I was just curious if the D gates and the gates on the East side of the C concourse have to talk to North ramp. I remember the last time I was there Horizon was talking to South ramp control.

I just call them from over the City and tell them I'll be pulling in off of B, clear the way to the gate, make sure that guy has his hand on the button for the green light and go ahead and call the hotel van for me, Skippy. Never a problem at KSEA, or anywhere else I go.

Since I don't use flaps, trim, or radar and leave the packs on the APU on 24/7, the after landing check goes real fast and managing traffic, well that's Skippy's problem.

With all due respect,
Charles Norris

... my friends call me Chuck, but I don't have friends, just ACL65 and he calls the ramp on his cell phone before he even leaves Kennedy.

126.87

There is a dashed line on the 20-9, but Ground will tell you to switch abeam a certain point, or switch ramp "now", so the dashed lines don't mean much...

I've heard South and North ramp calls on the same freq. 126.87

I don't think they use the South Ramp freq anymore.

They still have two frequencies, but use a repeater so everyone can hear eachother on both frequencies, since they seem to only use one controller now. Horizon ramp and northward is 126.87 and A,B,S are 122.27.
