The most annoying thing is it isn't the AVRO with CRJ9 speed and FMS...... Next is I am flying this thing with even MORE seats for even LESS pay thanks to the scam bankruptcy..... Finally, no autothrottles, but I guess that is part of "it's no Avro"....

You like those things? Noisey and dangerous to knee's. After the 727 & 737 Boeing got rid of those antiques systems.

Those "things" were great feedback to what was happening to your airplane. Speed up or slow down a little and they rolled, something you couldn't miss. I kept looking for them when I got on the 767.

Moving auto-throttles did the same thing, although IMO they weren't quite as noticeable as the stab wheel.

Never had a safety issue with the wheels, but oh boy, pull the handle out and forget about it and one is almost guaranteed a knuckle smasher or worse.

I also really missed the slow speed stab trim switch on the 727!

the emb-145 has a very annoying habit in crosswind landings.

the aircraft has only ailerons and no roll spoilers, and the ailerons wash out badly as the airspeed decays in the flare.

the rudder has a limiter on it that cuts out half of the surface area above speeds of 135kias. below this speed, the second section further deflects to add rudder authority. there is no indication of this, or a tactile feel through the rudder pedals.

so in a strong crosswind landing, the pilot needs to assertively increase the throw on the yoke as the airplane slows, and back off the rudder as the plane slows below 135kias. in short the aircraft quickly looses aileron authority in the flare, and suddenly gains rudder authority.

another very annoying habit on the emb-145 are the pilots that failed coordination class, as evident when the part-time yaw damper is turned off.

Twice, planes where flown off to far away lands as the upper management made their way to the bank to make a deposit. I'm not bitter, really.

The most annoying thing with the 747-200, is the fact that we are slowly retiring them...

EMB-145/135: All the nuisance warnings. Ding here for this, normal. Ding here for that, normal. Ding, ding, ding...all day long. Sort of desensitizes you to it for when a real caution or warning sounds. Oh, and weight restrictions. Especially in winter.

It runs on something that pollutes, make the middle east richer and that it is also used as an excuse to furlough, or whipsaw our fellow pilots...
