Default NWA/DAL In Base Training..

I heard rumors that NWA switched to the DAL rules when it comes to in base training and I wanted to see if that was true. As it used to stand, if you were MSP based and had to go in for a training event, hotel and per diem were not included. I heard DAL has it set up that hotel and per diem are covered if you have in base training. Is this true and is DAL North on this system now?

If you are MSP based, you get the hotel for long term events only. We do not get it for CQ, and we do not get per diem.

That sounds about right. At DS, you get a hotel room for all training events EXCEPT CQ, (recurrent,) in ATL if you are based there.

Is this in effect now? When does DAL North roll the cards?

Does this mean I'll get hotel/per diem for DC-9 training MSP base?

As I understand it, you'll get hotel but not per diem. I'm planning on bidding DC9 MEM to get the per diem and then MSP or (if I can) LA on the next bid.

YES AVOID MEMPHIS LIKE THE PLAGUE, sucks to fly there, the City itself is an eyesore and although I found Detroit to be a close second I'd rather be in Detroit. (Closer to Minneapolis)

That is a correct. There is no per diem in your base. You do get a hotel if you request it.

Two cautions for former NWA pilots. Request the hotel room as soon as you get the advance entitlement. If you are not based at the training site the per diem is not automatic. You must go into the computer and load the days you were in training before you will get paid. Failure to do this by the bid period after the training means you lose the per diem.
