We'll find out on Tuesday at the latest.

Of course, execs are hinting at more possible layoffs/furloughs this coming Fall.
So, a TA may be a moot point for the 60 already furloughed and the bottom 50-100 or
so still on the property.

Rumor is, it's a POS TA. It will probably be endorsed by our MEC with the reasoning that it's the best we could do at this time. If it passes it will be 4-6 years before we negotiate our next contract. Will withold final judgement until I review the TA in it's entirety, hopefully by the end of next week.

Weeks? At this rate it will be 2 months. All the rumors sure are trying to persuade a positive vote. ALPA is one secretive political machine. I bet Unit 1 won't strike with trying to get Airtran on the books.

Why on earth would any MEC propose a 4-6 year agreement right now?

Maybe I didn't understand your point correctly, but are you hinting at a possible Alaska-Citrus merger?

If ratified, we've been told it would be effective April 1st, 2009.

He's referring to Airtran voting in ALPA as their representation.
