Individual pilots can choose not to sign a new PEA, and keep working under the terms of the last one. For example our last PEA included minor pay raises, but changed sick time to be paid at our base rate. (Sick calls were previously paid at premium). A handful of guys chose to retain the old payrates and keep sick paid at premium.
And each pilot negotiates their own EPA? If not, who decides who gets to negotiate it on your behalf? How often are they renegotiated? Who decides that time line?
So all this crap about Jet Blue or better for Republic is put on hold now until you guys actually get these rates? Sounds like your management is just holding out as long as possible to keep you union free. Why else would everyone else in the free world be laying off people and Jet Blue be giving pay raises. So when Republic negotiates better payrates than you, will everyone blame you for the demise of the industry now?
Nevets: Although in theory a pilot COULD negotiate an individual PEA, I've never heard of that. We have a group called the Pilot Values Committee that supposedly "collaborates" with management, they're rather like an MEC with no actual authority. There are some good dudes there but without a CBA they're ****ing in the wind, IMHO.
PEA amendments have been issued twice in the 2 years I've been here, both with modest increases to E190 pay and an occasional pittance for the bus bubbas.
Rather be off work, RAH rates for the E175/E190 don't even come close to our current rates, in either seat, let alone the proposed ones. I made more the first year here as a 190 FO than any RAH FO will EVER make, and I consider myself seriously underpaid. I agree our management is holding out as long as possible; personally I'm starting to wonder if 3-engine taxi and take-offs aren't the best safety option, especially with the known glitches in the E-Jet fleet.....
Based on past history I'd be pleasantly surprised if RAH met our CURRENT 190 rates, let alone the proposed ones. I'm holding out hope for them; they deserve to make every bit as much as we do; proving that to BB and WH is gonna be a ****er though.

Reason: more on pay
Craine is that you? Or Mike Barger maybe? Sorry, but they had the pay rates published in MAY, and it's August and we still don't have a PEA yet. Guess what, 3 week signing after the PEAs are out and then to finance, and we might see the money by October, or November. Not acceptable. Too many excuses with too little communication.
I don't think anybody wants to operate a less efficient airline but at a certain point we all start pondering what our enthusiasm is worth to the company.

Is this your timeline or have you heard something? Come September, if I can't buy a new pair of shoes then I will certainly stand beside you in any productive "eye-opener to management". Until then I can look at history of others that have tried the "three engine" stance and figure out that doesn't work...unless you're flying a 747, then you're hurtn'.
Direct word of mouth 2 days ago from a frustrated member of the CBC. I don't want to undertake a WOE but my leverage as an individual pilot is slim to nil. I would submit that recently NWA pilots very successful got their eye-opener to management across; and if 3-engine taxi isn't your cup of tea, just take one 4-day rotation at work and do no one's job but your own. Do your job as a JetBlue pilot to the best of your ability, just stop donning blue gloves, letting the agent GSC 15 minutes early in violation of the FOM, running down wheelchairs, etc. We are worth every penny we are not being paid yet and we are worth it yesterday!

Sometimes circut breakers pop.... I believe it would be unsafe to push it back in with a full plane of passengers onboard... best go back to the gate and get Mx to check it out. I don't understand why those things keep popin... It'll probably ops check good.
