Your thread title is inaccurate. They don't want to buy F9, they are interested in their Airbus aircraft. I think they most likely missed the deadline for the BK bid anyway.

i think they're just figuring that if WN wins the auction they're going to dump the airbii right quick, and Sir Branson wants to let folks know he'd buy em up as soon as they hit the street.

But why would Branson be buying them? I thought this was a US owned Airline.

Yea if the losses continue at the same rate they would be out of cash by the end of this year, definitely next year.
