Default Midwest Airlines on the News

Republic hiring? All furloughs coming back? You be the judge. Sounds like All Republic/Midwest crews will be back to work in the coming months. Hope they raise the bar for the industry.

Hopefully Southwest will hire some of those Frontier pilots...

This sounds like BS to me. Republic is not hiring pilots and flight attendants. That is a flat out lie and then he changes it to say bring back furloughed pilots.

Hi!

"Hopefully Southwest will hire some of those Frontier pilots..." if you are living in an alternate universe, this could happen.

Currently, SWA is NOT hiring, so they will not be hiring any Frontier pilots.

If, on the other hand, SWA buys Frontier, they will have to integrate all the Frontier/Lynx pilots. If the Frontier/Lynx pilots feel that the integration is not fair (and, I assure you, if they are not integrated, they will not feel it is fair), the US gov't will step in with an arbitrator and he/she will do the integrating for SWA.

Whew! Who would have thought that the SWA/F9 integration would have been solved in a Midwest/Republic thread?

Last I checked, F9 doesn't do any DC-9 contract flying, so please refrain from your blanket statements regarding how all of 'US' will feel.
I'm an F9er and EVEN I KNOW, that Allegheny Mohawk/McCaskill-Bond won't apply. Silly rabbit... (is this guy just a flamer and I'm too new to know that?)

Lynx integrated? You mean like Mesaba and Compass were integrated into DAL's list?

Sorry, back on topic, BB a joke.

DAL, NWA, Mesaba, and Compass were all ALPA and the MB Amendment specifically states that airline with the same union can take as long as they want to come up with a SLI. Mesaba and/or Compass possibly could have demanded integration via an arbitrator if they were not ALPA. Now how they would have been integrated is anyone's guess.
